Probiotics Can Lower Blood Pressure
Probiotics or “good bacteria”, well known to benefit gut health and the immune system, have been recently found to help with reducing high blood pressure. The researchers who published their review in the journal Hypertension say probiotics, when taken consistently and in multiple strains help lower blood pressure by improving total and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, reducing blood glucose and insulin resistance; and by helping to regulate the hormone system that regulates blood pressure and fluid balance.
